We Believe...

1. That the Bible is God-inspired Truth written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit of God. The Bible is reliable and is to be our guide for faith and life.

2. In one God existing in three distinct persons: Creator (Father), Savior (Son), and Holy Spirit. They are all equal and are one God.

3. That the historical Jesus of Nazareth is the only Son of God, co-equal with God, was conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus lived a sinless human life, was crucified as the ultimate and perfected sacrifice, was buried, and raised from the dead demonstrating His authority and power of sin and death. That He ascended to heaven and is with the Father today interceding on behalf of all men and women and will return to Earth and eternally reign as Sovereign Lord over all.

4. That humans were created in the image of God to be like Him in character, but through Adam inherited a disobedient nature towards God that separates us from relationship with Him. Man's attitude and actions of disobedience are referred to as sin and result in our living outside the purposes of God for creation, humanity, and our personal lives.

5. That salvation is a gift of God to humanity through His Son's death and resurrection and not attainable by our own good works or activity. Salvation is a restored right relationship with God. The fulfillment of the purposes of God for creation and humanity are possible only through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. A restored relationship with God is gained through believing in the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and His claim to be the Son of God. Salvation includes the forgiveness of sin and power to resist sin. The inward evidence of salvation is assurance of our acceptance by God. The outward evidence is a life of purity and service. Eternal life begins the moment someone receives God's gift of salvation by faith.

6. That living in response to the sacrificial death of Jesus, devotion to Scripture, and obedience to the direction of the Spirit of God will lead believers to be fully available to God to accomplish through them His purposes in their communities and world.

7. That moral purity and goodness are to be the standards of living for all believers and followers of Christ.

8. That the Holy Spirit of God is present and active in the world making men aware of their disobedience and sin. The Holy Spirit resides within believers who receive salvation, and provides power to resist sin and understand Truth, and guidance in daily decisions and life.

9. In the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to enable us to be a witness of God's grace to our world around us. In addition, we believe that God's Spirit gives supernatural abilities and spiritual manifestations of His power as evidence of His activity by enabling believers to minister in situations and perform acts through means beyond their knowledge or experience or human reason.

10. In the act of baptism by immersion in water, signifying immersion by faith into the claims, teachings, and purposes of Christ, and identifying with Christ in His death for us and our rising to new life in His resurrection and union with the Body of Christ (also known as the Church or the global historical community of faith).

11. In God's natural and supernatural provision for the needs of humanity: spiritually, physically, emotionally, socially, and economically.

12. In participating in Communion, or the Lord's Supper, as an act of memorial and faith in the forgiving and healing of our lives by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

13. That humans are created as eternal beings and that God has a plan for our future beyond this world as we know it including:

- Jesus' return to earth to gather His Church.

- Hell is created for the devil and demons, and they will be eternally sentenced there at the end of time.

- People who accept forgiveness and salvation, the gift of God, will live eternally in His presence and unending relationship with Him. To be eternally in union with God is eternal life.

- People who refuse salvation in this life will be eternally separated from God. To be eternally separated from God is Hell.

- Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.

- The eternal reign of Jesus Christ will be a reality in a New Heaven and a New Earth.
